Because the countdown is purely client-side and recurring-yearly, the same URL keeps working year after year — once January 1 passes, the countdown to next January 1 starts immediately. For one-off date countdowns (a wedding date, a trip, a product launch), the countdown widget supports a fixed ISO date in addition to the recurring annual mode used here. Yes — once the page is loaded, the timer is purely client-side and ticks based on your browser's clock.
Can I add a custom event?
These pre-built pages target New Year and Christmas. For arbitrary dates, the underlying widget supports a targetISO prop; a per-event configurator is a future addition.
What time zone is used?
Your browser's local time. New Year and Christmas fire at midnight local.
Does it auto-restart for next year?
Yes — recurring-yearly countdowns roll forward to the next occurrence the moment the current one passes.
