A meditation timer should be invisible until the very last second. The whole point is not having to track time — your attention is meant to be on the breath, the mantra, or the body, not the clock. This timer was built around that principle: set the duration, close the tab, and the notification arrives at exactly the right moment with no warm-ups, no countdown ticks, no distractions in the middle. Fifteen minutes is the standard length used by most guided programmes (Headspace, Calm, Insight Timer) and works as a daily entry-level practice. Twenty minutes is the next step; thirty to forty-five minutes is closer to a full sit; an hour is the threshold of a half-day intensive. Add a label — "morning sit", "breath awareness", "loving-kindness" — and the notification arrives with it, which is sometimes useful for tracking what kind of practice you did. Because the countdown runs server-side, you can lock the screen the moment you press start. Nothing on the device matters until the notification arrives.

FAQ

How long should I meditate?
Most beginners start with 5–10 minutes daily and grow toward 15–20. The default here is 15 minutes; adjust to your practice.
Will the timer ring if my phone is locked or in another room?
Yes. The countdown is scheduled server-side, so the bell — Telegram, push, or email — arrives regardless of the device's screen state.
Can I save a daily sit as a recurring reminder?
Yes. After one run, save the timer as a daily reminder at your preferred time and the meditation slot is queued automatically.
Will the timer interrupt me mid-session with previews or warnings?
No. There are no mid-session pings — only one notification at the very end.
